Counsel for Justice Celebrates Conclusion of 50th Anniversary Immigration Campaign, Securing Critical Support for Immigrant Legal Services
LOS ANGELES, CA – October 2, 2025 – Counsel for Justice (CFJ) announced the successful conclusion of its 50th Anniversary Immigration Campaign, celebrating decades of providing vital legal services to immigrants in Los Angeles. This fundraising effort both commemorated the remarkable legacy of CFJ’s Immigration Project and secured the resources needed to ensure its continued impact for years to come.
The campaign, launched in August, rallied community support around CFJ’s mission to offer free and accessible legal services to immigrants navigating the complex U.S. immigration system. Generous donations from individuals, law firms and community partners ensured that CFJ can expand its reach, enhance its programs, and uphold its commitment to justice.
“We are deeply grateful to the hundreds of donors and volunteers whose generosity fueled the success of this campaign,” said Diane Trunk, Executive Director of CFJ. “This support ensures that our Immigration Project will continue to be a lifeline for immigrants facing the legal system alone, helping them find hope, safety and opportunity. Together, we are building a more just and inclusive community”.
CFJ’s Immigration Project has provided legal assistance to thousands of individuals over the past five decades. Volunteers help clients with naturalization, family‑based petitions, work permits and humanitarian relief while also offering information about rights and options. The project’s commitment to empowerment and dignity has made it a cornerstone of CFJ’s mission.
CFJ extended its sincere gratitude to its sponsors, whose support played a crucial role in the campaign’s success: Champion Sponsor GlassRatner and Advocate Sponsors AILA Southern California Chapter, Pedram Law, and Wes & Julie Kennedy.
The funds raised will allow CFJ to expand its immigration clinics, provide more one‑on‑one consultations and ensure that no one faces the immigration process alone. The organization plans to invest in technology, outreach and volunteer training to provide more efficient and comprehensive support for clients seeking justice.
As the campaign concludes, CFJ invites the community to continue supporting immigrant rights. Pro bono attorneys, donations and public advocacy remain essential to maintaining and expanding these critical services. Those interested in volunteering or contributing can visit CFJ’s website or contact them directly.
