Overview

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this live training equips attorneys and advocates with practical knowledge of state and federal housing laws that work together to help keep survivors safely housed. You’ll learn how to use these protections to support survivor safety, stability, and access to housing.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to apply housing laws to increase safety in a survivor’s rental housing.

  • Strategies to help clients avoid eviction or housing termination.

  • Tools to help survivors secure and maintain housing.

  • Attorneys (especially those practicing in California)

  • Advocates and legal aid professionals serving survivors of domestic violence

MCLE Credit (California)

FVAP can provide 1.0 hour of CA MCLE participatory credit to licensed California attorneys who attend the full, live training and request credit. A credit request form will be provided to attendees.
