Commitments
- 
            Time Commitment: Approximately 3–5 hours per month, to include:
            
- Serve a board term of 3 years
 - Attend board meetings every other month (one in person, the rest via video calls)
 - Actively participate on at least one board committee
 - Participate in an in-person board strategy session
 - Attend the annual Community Impact Awards reception
 
 - Fundraising: Each board member is expected to make a meaningful personal donation annually and contribute to fundraising efforts by introducing potential donors and sponsors to CFJ.
 - Advocacy & Engagement: Actively engage in CFJ’s initiatives, including site visits to CFJ’s projects, and provide input on strategies and initiatives to further CFJ’s mission.
 
Our Mission
Counsel for Justice (CFJ) promotes access to justice for those in underserved communities seeking to assert their legal rights. Our pro bono–based projects bridge the justice gap for those in underserved communities seeking safety, stability, and justice. CFJ engages volunteer attorneys to provide direct legal services, empowering people with the knowledge and support they need to effectively navigate their legal challenges.
